Misconception 7 - "the strategy of seto kaiba is perfect and unbeatable"
Debunk; when kaiba used any tactic it ended up backfiring & causing his own downfall.
Example's would be his battle city duel's against Umbra (mask of darkness), Ishizu, Atem (the pharaoh) etc. With ishizu if he had not used his virus cards then he would not have fallen into her ploy.
With Umbra if Kaiba did not use ring of destruction then Lumis would not be able to activate "curse transfer" (a trap card) a better decision would be to let "shining abyss" (monster under Umbra's control) kill his "blood vorse" without activating the trap, kaiba would only lose 700 LP thus.
But then Kaiba used "ring of defence" which got countered by "spell transfer" (magicard of Umbra) so he does not lose 1 LP unlike Kaiba.
Against Atem well this GIF speaks for itself;
{PROOF}
Kaiba's ploy (using power balance) worked in Atems favor instead of his own.
=
Other misplays he made during his final duel with Atem (final in the DM anime at least) would be using mechanical magic trick mirror (trap) to get "monster reborn" instead of "any other spell that could be useful" from Atems GY.
=
His 3RD MISPLAY - Seto already had the big advantage. With 3 blue Eyes and 1 Lord Of D, he could have dealt potentially 7,700 battle damage to Atem, but he couldnt just keep his blue eyes ultimate dragon in the fusion deck, he wanted it to come badly!
His 4th MISPLAY - not using the OP card "Anti Magic Virus Cannon" (a spell card that eliminates ten or more magic card's in the enemy player's deck without any cost). If he did that then so many advantages of Atem would be lost, he would've been deprived of so much that his win wouldn't make sense.
Kaiba's 5th misplay was using "dragons summoning flute" in episode 133, knowing that Atem had access to "Curse Of Dragon" (based on the past) & "Red Eyes Black Dragon" (he saw Atem/Yugi summon that card against Jonouchi).
Seto did a 6th and 7th misplay in that duel (Kaiba vs Atem Battle City) were that he kept falling for the opposing players trap cards each time once he summoned the blue eyes white dragon.
{Kaiba's monster "Lord of d" was destroyed cause of his mistake}
{Kaiba's BEWD lost a battle to Jonouchi's Red Eyes}
How could a former national champion of japanese card gamer's, athletes and players be ignorant of the dangerous threat/ability of a trap card? He is supposed to be experienced/intelligent enough to avoid conducting a battle phase if his opponent had a set card in their trap/spell zone.
ODION WOULD HAVE RUN CIRCLES AROUND KAIBA.
=========
In duelist kingdom, Seto made multiple misplays in his duel with the nameless pharaoh.
First - timing for "gift of the mystical elf"
[Image]
Source: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Chapter 44
Explaining - he could've activated "Gift Of The Mystical Elf" after he summoned Blue Eyes White Dragon, that way he would get a 600 point boost instead of just 300, he keeps taking L's everytime Kaiba made a mistake in his duels.
=
Jigen Bakudan & Relinquished have lower atk points than Kuriboh but Seto Kaiba believes that Kuriboh is weaker than them.

Source: Chapter 45.
This is proof he is not very intelligent... His only W in the intellect market is inventing and building a innovation like the duel disk system, that's all.
==
ALSO If Yugi attacked "dark clown saggi" (atk 600) after kaiba's hand was revealed then he would have won as "black magician's" atk points are 2500, that is a 1900 difference.
Proof attacking random cards in the players hand is allowed;
Kaiba's plan only worked out due to the writer not letting him fail despite it's flaws & possible twists. His tactic & plot was too risky and was more detrimental to himself than anybody else.

Misconception 8 - "kaiba defeating daimon/liechtor showed how quickly he thinks"
Debunk:
The truth is kaiba's win over daimon is also another plot armor only win. They cant make the rival get defeated by a secondary/tertiary antagonist/villain unless its a clown like Chazz Princeton from GX. So they made Kaiba win i can explain.
In turn Se7eN - Lector could have used "Watch Tranquilizer" (equip card) on "twin headed behemoth" instead of "Blood Vorse" then that way Behemoths ATK would lower down to 1200. Thus when Fairy Lily attack's 2,200 LP will be subtracted from Kaiba's life points instead of just 1,900.
Source: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_-_Episode_108#Featured_Duel:_Seto_Kaiba_vs._Leichter,_Part_1
With 900 LP remaining when kaiba does a trick with "spirit ryu" he'd lose 400 more LP, then he'd have just 500 if he gives that up to activate his deck master ability then kaiba will lose before the effect which "Lord of D" has can be utilized by him.
Another thing is that bad writing, retcon's, rules being manipulated worked out in Kaiba's favor again, as it makes no sense for fairy lily's effect to not last until the end phase, how can it only last for one battle with one monster?

Nowhere was such a handicap ever mentioned after, but just to help kaiba out in winning a duel it was invented.

Misconception 9 - "KAIBA IS A INTELLECTUAL GENIUS"
Kaiba's not intelligent enough to deduce, calculate or analyze the true strength of an opponent that he battles.
Till that moment he already dueled against Pegasus, Yugi/Atem etc. He claimed that this random computer which could summon a blue eyes white dragon was as good of a player as those two.

Misconception 10 - "Seto Kaiba is a better card player than Jonouchi".
Reality;
The truth is that Jonouchi is better than Seto OR at least equal to Seto. Cause whenever Seto needs to look good in the manga or anime they make Jonouchi a scapegoat/jobber. In duelist kingdom after Jonouchi played intelligently against Mai Kujaku, Dino Ryuzaki etc he forgot a basic rule when he dueled Kaiba the 1st time which's to never attack a stronger monster with one has less atk point's and no effects.
Jonouchi attacking Rabid Horseman with monsters that have lower atk point's made no sense. Also Flame Swordsman losing atk points against Minotaurus made no sense either. So once again kaiba's big edge in LP happened due to plot armor, bad writing and inconsistencies only. Jonouchi did not even use "grave robber", "copy cat", "time wizard" or any key card on Seto during this duel except for Red Eyes Black Dragon.
=
Also Atem said that Bandit Keith was a harder opponent for Jonouchi than seto kaiba. At that point it was clearly true that Keith was better than kaiba as a duelist.
Jonouchi would then go onto lose against Seto at Battle City, first during the battle royale (on purpose) then during the battle for bronze (3rd place cup). The only one that counts is the last duel. Where Jonouchi had 2100 LP during the last move, but Kaiba only had a measly 700. Jonouchi despite getting infected by the virus card was able to have a better score than him & still bad writing EFFED Jonouchi again.
After his duel with Rishid, after witnessing how kaiba's facedown cards did wonders for him in the duel with ishizu then still Jonouchi fell for the virus combo, it makes no sense again. Jonouchi also seemed to forget using the card's he gained from Malik, like "Meteor Of Destruction", "Hinotama", "Raigeki", "Attrition" etc.
He also didn't even use "devil dice", "bottomless trap hole", or the powerful "Roulette Spider", it seemed like this duel only happened to make Seto Kaiba look better after losing to Noah, Atem etc and admitting that Malik is better than him too. Kaiba was never a duel king.
=
Jonouchi's other losses made alot more sense & had less plot armor involved;
1 - Anzu Mazaki
2 - Duke Devlin.
3 - Hiroto Honda.
Siegfried also did it. These 4 duelist's beat Jonouchi in a legitimate manner unlike seto kaiba.
And Rishid Ishtar completely owned Jonouchi, he put up a better fight than kaiba & if he were to face kaiba in the finals then kaiba would lose big time.
====
Dark Side Of Dimension's;
Aigami defeated him, he clearly did. So Kaiba in DSOD is also not very tough at all.
He some how plot armored his way out of losing, even with such plot armor (The God Of The Obelisk) on his side he could not win against Aigami their duel ended in no result.
Seto Kaiba is very overrated and pathetic honestly.
